The Southport Congregtional Church offers many programs to enhance the spiritual lives of our adults.

Monday Morning Bible Study

Open to all, the group meets every Monday at 9 a.m. Meetings are held in the Church Library. We will explore and discover the people, places and theology of the book of the Bible. Each session is unique and knowledge of the Bible is not required. Led by Rev. Sharon Blackburn.

Thursday Morning Men's Group

A discussion group for the men of our Church, this group meets on Thursday mornings at 7 a.m. in the Youth Room with Rev. Paul Whitmore. Come and discuss current events and how they relate to our everyday faith. Short readings are emailed to the group earlier in the week before the Thursday meeting.  Please contact Rev. Paul Whitmore to be added to the email list.

Thursday Women's Lunch Bunch

A women's group that will explore the basic tenants of our Christian faith, beginning with the history of the Bible. Bring your own lunch and join Rev. Laura Whitmore as we explore the nature of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit; delve into the history of Protestantism and the United Church of Christ, as well as the Southport Congregational Church.  Through the fall, these gatherings will be held on October 1 and 15, November 19, December 3 and 17th from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.  No pre-signup necessary!

Prayer Partners

Prayer Partners is a ministry of the Southport Congregational Church, whose sole purpose is to pray for the needs of our church family and friends. We invite anyone interested in praying for others to join us.

Caring Team

The Caring Team is a wonderfully rewarding opportunity to serve our church family during special times of need. We provide meals, transportation to the doctor and home visitation as well as general care for the welfare of the church family.
