Southport Congregational Church is pleased to offer you the convenience of paying your pledge on line, in installments.  You may choose from one of two options:

• Debit Option – Automatic monthly or bi-monthly debits to your checking or savings account.
• PayPal – Automatic monthly charges to your credit through PayPal.

This program will help you in several ways:

• You can pay your pledge on an installment basis with minimal time or effort – including no check writing!
• You have the flexibility to choose between monthly or bi-monthly installments for the Debit Plan or monthly installments for the PayPal plan.
• It ensures that each pledge installment will be dependably paid – even while you are on vacation.
• There are no fees or charges to you.
• It is easy to sign up for, and easy to cancel.

The program helps SCC in several ways:

• Ensures that pledge commitments are paid on a timely and dependable basis.
• There are no fees or charges to SCC for the debit plan, although there are small charges for PayPal as outlined below.

Here’s how the program works:

Debit Option:

You authorize for pledge contributions to be deducted from your checking or savings accounts on a monthly or bi-monthly basis and paid to SCC.  On the specified day, your account will automatically be debited, and payment made to SCC.  The transaction will appear on your next statement.  There are no fees associated with these transactions.

PayPal:

You set up a PayPal account (if you don’t already have one), and authorize for pledge contributions to be charged to your credit card on a monthly basis and paid to SCC.  On the specified date your account will automatically be charged, and payment made to SCC.  The transaction will appear on your next statement.  There are no fees charged to you, however, the fees charged to SCC are as follows:

2.2% + $.30 transaction fee. For example, there will be a $2.50 fee on a $100 donation.

For either plan:

The authority you give to SCC to charge your bank account or credit card through PayPal will remain in effect only until the end of 2012.  At that time, the charges will automatically cease.  To begin the payments again for 2013, a new authorization form will need to be completed at that time.

To take advantage of either program:

Debit Option:

• Download the attached form (“Authorization Agreement for Direct Payments (ACH Debits)”) and complete it offline.
• Return the completed form with a voided check by November 30th, 2011 to:
